Job Summary
- We are hiring a financial accountant to oversee day-to-day finance operations, liquidity management, treasury processes, and financial reporting for Metro Group.
- The role provides the finance manager and leadership team with financial insights, modelling, and governance as we scale our payment infrastructure across multiple markets.
Responsibilities
- Prepare daily/weekly financial reports (revenue, margins, liquidity, and volumes).
- Manage liquidity across multiple banks, wallets, currencies, and corridors.
- Lead treasury operations: internal transfers, settlements, vendor payments.
- Build and maintain financial controls, workflows, and treasury processes.
- Support budgeting, financial modelling, fundraising, and investor reporting.
- Collaborate with Reconciliation, Compliance, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Ensure audit-ready documentation and regulatory financial compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar.
- 4-5 years of experience in finance, treasury, or fintech/payments operations.
- Strong analytical ability and experience in multi-bank/multi-currency finance.
- Proficiency in Excel/financial modelling.
- Close attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under pressure.
- Professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, CFA) are an added advantage.
Benefits
Salary: N400,000 Monthly.
