Job Title: Fleet Officer
Location: Calabar, Cross River

Job Summary
- The Fleet Officer is responsible for managing the company's fleet operations to ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy, compliant, and available to support business operations.
- The role involves coordinating vehicle maintenance, monitoring driver performance, managing fleet documentation, and ensuring efficient utilization of company vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the day-to-day operations of the company fleet.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective vehicle maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all company vehicles have valid licenses, insurance, and regulatory documentation.
- Schedule routine servicing, repairs, and inspections for fleet vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
- Maintain accurate fleet records, including service history and vehicle logs.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and road safety regulations.
- Investigate and report vehicle breakdowns, accidents, and maintenance issues.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Track vehicle movements and ensure efficient deployment of fleet resources.
- Liaise with external vendors and service providers for repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare fleet performance and maintenance reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and transport regulations.

- Fleet vehicle availability and uptime.
- Preventive maintenance compliance rate.

Requirements
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet management principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience using fleet management or vehicle tracking systems is an added advantage.
- Valid driver's license is an added advantage.
