We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Sales Executive - Spare Parts
Locations: Abia, Anambra, and Imo
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual spare parts sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Sell directly to dealers, distributors, retail outlets, workshops, and fleet customers.
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and follow up consistently to convert leads and repeat orders.
- Execute pricing, promotions, and incentive schemes as directed by the Area/Regional Sales Manager.
Territory & Dealer Coverage:
- Plan and execute regular route/journey cycles to cover all assigned dealers and retail outlets.
- Onboard new dealers, sub-dealers, and retail points to expand spare parts distribution.
- Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with existing dealers and channel partners.
- Monitor competitor products, pricing, and activity within the territory and report findings.
Inventory & Product Availability:
- Monitor stock levels at dealer/retail points and flag replenishment needs to avoid stock-outs.
- Support proper merchandising and visibility of spare parts at point of sale.
- Coordinate with logistics/warehouse teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and delivery.
- Assist in stock reconciliation and reporting of fast- and slow-moving parts.
Customer Support & Aftersales:
- Respond to dealer and customer queries on parts availability, pricing, and compatibility.
- Escalate product quality or aftersales service issues promptly to the appropriate team.
- Support dealer training on new parts, product updates, and basic technical information.
- Contribute to resolving customer complaints to maintain satisfaction and retention.
Reporting & Administration:
- Submit accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly sales and coverage reports.
- Maintain up-to-date records of dealers, orders, and customer information.
- Track and report progress against assigned KPIs to the Area/Regional Sales Manager.
Compliance & Standards:
- Adhere to company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical sales practices.
- Represent the company brand professionally in all dealer and customer interactions.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Spare parts sales volume and value achievement vs. target.
- Number of active dealers/retail outlets covered and new outlets onboarded.
- Product availability and stock-out incidence at outlets.
- Customer/dealer satisfaction and complaint resolution turnaround.
- Timeliness and accuracy of sales and coverage reporting.
Requirements
- OND / HND / BSc in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in field sales, preferably in spare parts, automotive, or FMCG distribution.
- Familiarity with 2W/3W spare parts or auto components is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Good territory/route planning discipline and willingness for frequent field travel.
- Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, Word) for reporting.
