We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Team Lead, Payday Lending

Duties & Responsibilities
Portfolio Growth & Product Performance Management:

  • Own and manage the payday lending portfolio for salary customers, driving growth, profitability, customer adoption, utilization, and revenue.
  • Develop and execute business plans, monitor portfolio performance, evaluate trends, and implement initiatives that improve product penetration and business outcomes.

Digital Lending Product & Customer Journey Ownership:

  • Oversee the end-to-end digital payday loan proposition, ensuring seamless customer access, efficient loan processing, and an excellent customer experience.
  • Lead product lifecycle management, enhancements, channel optimization, system improvements, and customer adoption initiatives to maintain a competitive and customer-centric offering.

Risk, Governance & Compliance Oversight:

  • Ensure portfolio quality and responsible lending through effective credit controls, risk management, regulatory compliance, operational governance, and adherence to internal policies.
  • Manage audit observations, control issues, exceptions, and remediation activities while maintaining strong governance documentation.

Stakeholder, Operations & Technology Management:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Digital Banking, IT, Operations, Risk, Credit, Compliance, Legal, Audit, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to deliver business objectives.
  • Oversee technology performance, operational processes, issue resolution, automation initiatives, and system enhancements that support efficiency and scalability.

Business Intelligence, Reporting & Team Leadership:

  • Drive data-led decision-making through analytics, portfolio insights, market intelligence, and competitor benchmarking.
  • Prepare management reports, support business planning and budgeting, identify growth opportunities, and supervise, coach, and develop team members to ensure effective execution of payday lending objectives.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education:

  • First Degree.
  • Post graduate qualification in Business Administration and related certifications in Digital Product Management, Business & Data Analytics would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum experience – 5 years of general banking experience.
