Job Position: Logistics Specialist

Location: Lagos

General Requirements for the position:

• Experience in a Telecom Engineering Company, Telecoms Vendor or ICT is preferred and is of top-priority.
• Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Computer Science or telecommunications Engineering or relevant Degree as applicable
• Good Customer service orientation, communication skills, good team spirit and has ability to work independently.
• Should be ready to work under pressure in all kind of working condition.
• Proficient in Microsoft office(word, excel and PowerPoint)
• Applicants should be open to learning new skills and technology
• Self-motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and fluent in English both oral and written.
• Must be ready for international project to the other African countries.
• Successful applicants should be Goal-oriented with good interpersonal and communication skills, and be a very good team player.
• The successful applicant should be good at information gathering and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Timely preparation of import documentation and authorization for all air and sea shipments.
• Ensuring timely management of carriage for imports and exports.
• Making of form M.SONCAP Certificates,etc.
• Maintenance of system data requirements and ensuring integrity at all times.
• Ensuring the integrity of import and export documentation such as final invoice CCVO, MC, Packing list.
• Verification of all freight invoices.
• Maintenance of all records.
• Must understand the payment mode of international trade documentation;letter of credits, bills for collections,etc.

Qualifications & Skills

• A University degree holder.
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in a corporate environment.
• knowledge of duty computation.
• Good understanding of Nigeria import and export policies.
• Good understanding of import documentation required by the importers and shippers.
• Experience in interpreting customs tariffs and also managing customs brokers.
• Have good knowledge of telecommunication equipment and HS Code classification.
• Good relationships with scanning companies, customers, SON, Quarantine, shipping line,etc.
• Good communication skills and management skills. Knowing how to manage a team and achieve team target.
• Must have project management skills.
