LAUTECH is a State-owned University (the Owner-States being Oyo and Osun). Founded on 23 April, 1990, the University is a University of Technology operating the Faculty system and offering courses inseven (7) Faculties which include the Faculties of Basic Medical Sciences and Clinical Sciences in the College of Health Sciences. The University also has a Postgraduate School.
Student population currently stands at about twenty-seven thousand (27,000) while the University has about two thousand, five hundred and thirty-four (2,534) on its staff list (including ad-hoc staff). The University is non-residential.

Job Description

• The candidate must possess a minimum of Master’s Degree in Library
• Science from a recognised University and should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years cognate experience, at least five (5) of which must be at the Deputy University Librarian level in University administration.
• A doctorate degree will be an added advantage.
• The candidate must show evidence of substantial contribution to knowledge through research and scholarly publications in reputable Journals.

Conditions of Service
The conditions attached to these positions are as generally applicable in Nigerian University System and as may from time to time be determined by the Governing Council. Each appointment shall be for a single term of five (5) years.
