Role Summary/Purpose
Gas to Power (GTP) is a critical growth strategy for GE which is based on the ability to get natural gas to locations that need power.
The central GTP team will coordinate the GTP efforts across GE; building a strategy and local ground game with the region and business teams and working with development partners, gas suppliers and traders, and financial institutions to provide solutions for the opportunities across our regions.
The Senior Commercial Manager role is key to enable the development of the global effort; articulating the global strategy, developing a deal prioritization framework, developing go to market models, sharing best practices, constructing operating rhythms, developing partnerships and driving projects to completion.
Develop replicable and scalable commercial activation models for Virtual Pipeline and FSRU projects delivering wing-to-wing solutions for customers
Develop and implement a project prioritization framework for Virtual Pipeline and FSRU projects based on complexity/feasibility, timing, equipment pull through, risk, investment required, etc.
Construct and implement operating rhythms to connect global GTP teams, share information and best practices, track and drive projects to completion
Drive "one GE" commercial value proposition … optimize technology offering, harmonize T&Cs, coordinate with business ITO teams
Develop strong relationships and communication channels with external (customers, governments, partners) and internal stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements
Business Administration/ Engineering or relevant bachelor's degree
Strong expertise in gas based power generation
Prior experience in Power or Oil & Gas businesses
Prior experience in growth regions like SSA, Menat, Latam, ASEAN
Experience as a leader, managing strategic projects
Local business network and stakeholders contact
Results-oriented with ability to convert business requirements and goals into realistic project milestones
Effective networking skills and strong communication skills are a must
Business Judgment and Execution Knowledge - should have, or be able to quickly develop, a thorough understanding of GE's key business segments to actively engage in helping identify and execute strategic initiatives
Must be able to work within a global matrix organization and interact with executives at the most senior levels
Have "hands-on" approach and be prepared to generate actionable partnership ideas without significant direction
High-level of integrity standards
