Destined for Utopia Entertainment, an entertainment start-up focused on promoting positive, Nigerian entertainment content online, is seeking to hire a Post Video Production Manager. As part of DEFUT, you’ll be part of the end-to-end creation of creative and inspiring short films and music videos. We celebrate a strong entrepreneurial spirit, so what those videos are, and how they’re made, will often be primarily up to you. Considering the collaborative nature of the projects we will be working on, however, we’ll mainly attack projects as a team, meaning that you’ll need to be as confident in an independent setting as you are in a group.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Video Production Intern

Location: Lagos

Candidates Profile

Must be recent university graduates and NYSC members ONLY.
Mastery of video and music editing applications: Candidate will be required to show mastery of video and editing tools (preferably, Adobe Premier Pro). A minimum of 2 years of experience will be a strong advantage.
Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's Degree in any field is mandatory. Candidates who are yet to commence the mandatory 1 year NYSC program may apply. No formal work experience is required.
Passion for Arts (contemporary music and film): A strong passion for the Nigerian entertainment industry is required for this role. Candidates will be required to demonstrate a strong passion for music and film. This includes the entire workflow required to create any or both art categories.
Basic understand of film making: Candidates must possess basic understanding of how videos (music videos, documentaries, and movies) are created. The ability to handle advanced video equipment (RED, Blackmagic, GoPro, etc.) will be an advantage.
Entrepreneurship ability: Since Defut is a start-up, we will require candidates who are passionate about start-ups and are willing to do what is required to grow a budding business from loss to profitability. We are looking for candidates who don't even know there is a box talk less of thinking within it.
