Job Title: Control Room Engineer

Ref: PSJ107

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

Responsible for the efficient, safe and reliable operations of the plant and plant equipments and ensure optimal performance in line with predefined operating parameters.
Direct and coordinate the operations of the plant and auxiliary equipments in line with industry, environmental and other set standards
Ensure safe, reliable, efficient and optimal operations of the plant and plant equipments
Support the maintenance team by keeping records of equipment usage and operating hours; generate repair requests; inspect and undertake post-maintenance testing of equipments
Implement safe work practices and ensure adherence to safety standards at the power plant
Keep operating parameters within prescribed limits and take appropriate preventive and corrective measures
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and other periodic reports as required
Analyze plant operating problems and take necessary steps to restore normal operations
Supervise and guide subordinate staff

Requirements

Minimum of a 1st degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years experience in power plants or similar operation
