Android Engineer at MAX Nigeria

MAX is on a mission to fix Africa’s notorious last-mile delivery and online-retail problems by using mobile and web platforms to connect consumers, retail businesses and independent drivers in real-time. We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:

Job Title: Android Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• Primarily focus on expanding and improving existing Android applications
• Develop using both Java and Kotlin
• Incorporate the latest advances in Android features
• Ensure scalability and front-end design integrity
• Work closely with the Design team to implement new features
• Independently support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support)

Requirements

• Ability to perform and thrive in a team environment
• Experience working in an AGILE environment
• Experience with Git and management of branches
• Experience working with RESTful web services
• Experience with TDD
• Experience working with one or more of the following libraries; Retrofit, Dagger, RxJS, Chuck
• Experience working with Android Geolocation APIs
• Experience working with Firebase APIs
• 1+ years of mobile app development experience in Java and Android Studio
• At least one published app in app stores (public facing or enterprise)
