Responsibilities

• The role reports to the Marketing and Technical Service Director
• The marketing manager will be responsible for the marketing of company products and services to the right market. Demonstrate technical marketing skills and company product knowledge and also develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the sales department.
• Development and implementation of the Marketing plan in collaboration with Sales to meet company objectives.
• Market segmentation – understand the needs and behavior of each End User segment for products and Services - & develop Value proposition for them, e.g. product availability/ SKU, product range (with branding, Services, etc.)
• Route to Market: Collaborate with Sales to implement the RTM plan of having an efficient trade channel and effectiveness at Retail.
• Develop, launch and manage the Product- brand portfolio -the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
• Drive innovation in product and value added services to customers.
• Ensure Brand Premium over competitors in each product segment.
• Prepare and manage the external communication & visibility in the market including advertising through the media and at the point of sales, i.e. branding of retail outlets.
• Plan & Manage the end-user customer contact programs (events) with small Users (home builders and block-makers) and contractors.
• Conduct regular Customer Satisfaction (CSS), Usage & Attitude Surveys and champion changes internally to improve.
• To deliver all marketing activities within the agreed budget.
• Works closely with co-managers (Sales, Technical Services & Customer Service) in the Commercial function and other departments.
• Member of the Product Development Committee.

Requirements

• A degree in Business Management, Marketing or relevant field.
• Professional qualifications such as CIM and an MBA or its equivalent is an added advantage
• 8-10 years experience in a middle/ senior managerial position within Sales and Marketing with a minimum of 4 years experience in FMCG environment.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and operational marketing (advertising/ branding communication) within a commercial function
• Persuasive and assertive with the ability to create change and drive stakeholder engagement to achieve a customer oriented approach.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Excellent communication & inter-personal skills.
• Professional command over English language.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, organization, and execution within a commercial function
• Persuasive and assertive with the ability to create change and drive stakeholder
• Engagement to achieve a customer oriented approach.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
• A strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
• Excellent communication and Inter-personal skills.
• Professional command of English language.
• Good understanding of the fundamentals of Branding, Marketing, and Advertising
