Responsibilities
Responsibilities Within the PGS Sales team, & supported by a team of experts in project development, sales, commercial operation, finance, and Application Engineer, the SWAT leader – Africa will be responsible for leading two key growth initiatives for our service business in the region including Project Development, financing solutions & execution strategy.
All large upgrades and rehabilitation of GE power plants throughout Africa
Contractual Services penetration
The SWAT leader will also be a strategic member of the Power Generation Services leadership team, responsible for providing sales & commercial executive support for key deal negotiation (Multi-Year Agreements, renegotiation, large upgrades)
Upgrades & Rehabilitations
Contribute to specific strategies definition and execution in order to grow PGS orders & Commitment
Engages team to develop customer centered approaches and strategies
Lead and coordinate global and regional teams : PGS Sales teams & Engineering, Region OTR, CommOps, Risk, etc, as needed
Renegotiation & Conversion
Manage the entire ITO process while leading cross-functional teams, including Risk, OTR, Finance, Legal
Negotiate Terms & Conditions and analyze Risk/Reward structure of commercial solutions
Effectively communicate value story internally and externally
Manage Policy 5.0 for all commercial offerings
Proactively engage OTR to develop growth opportunities in the existing PGS portfolio
Lead Marketing and Technology teams to develop strategies to maintain price through customer value
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Direct sales, account or operation leadership experience
Fluent in English
Broad knowledge of industry best practices in the Power generation industry
Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships at all levels,
Customer-centric mind-set, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable business solutions with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
Desired Characteristics
Understanding of Gas Turbine & Steam Turbine Technology
In-depth knowledge and experience negotiating from GE standard contracts (i.e. Form 33C, ES104 and/or PUP7 or equivalent)
Knowledge of Industrial, IPP, Utility, and Oil & Gas power industries
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Integrative team working style
Six Sigma Green Belt certification (internal Candidate)
Master's in Business Administration
Experience in power plant operation & on financial models and financing
Knowledge of business development and/or building growth plans
Strategic and/or product marketing exposure
