Job Title: Sales and Marketing Representative

Location: Lagos

Job Brief

• Sales and Marketing representatives are responsible for selling a company's products by identifying leads, educating prospects on products through calls and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.
• You will provide complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
• In order to be successful in this role, you need to have a deep understanding of the sales & marketing process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Present, promote and sell products using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers/clients.
• Follow and analyze market trends to position products.
• Develop product marketing strategies (pricing, advertising, product launching).
• Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns).
• Test marketing product features, releases and ad copy.
• Build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.
• Develop and maintain relations with local vendors as applicable.
• Acquires new customers by reaching out to leads.
• Researches customer's individual or business purchase needs.
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs.
• Answering client questions about credit terms, products, prices and availability.
• Reach out to customer leads through cold calling.
• Book and record produce orders with customers, shippers, and vendors.
• Makes recommendations for the customer.
• Submits purchase orders and informs management of purchase actions.
• Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
• Work to meet all established sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
• Analyze the territory/marketТs potential, track sales and status reports.
• Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
• Maintains documentation of customer contact and account updates queries.
• Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends.
• Identify and leverage various opportunities for business development.
• Continuously improve through feedback.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service, friendly personality and positive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of CRM systems.
• Good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis and statistics methods.
• Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
• Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Web Trends).
• Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Ad words campaigns.
• Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
• A sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
• B.Sc degree in Marketing or related field.
