Female Fitness Center Manager at West African Vocational Education (WAVE)

West African Vocational Education (WAVE) is solving what is arguably the biggest challenge on the continent: youth unemployment. In West Africa, 40-85% of youth, more than 50 million, are either unemployed or underemployed. Meanwhile, job creation in the region is on the rise. The disconnect between work-ready youth and the employment market must be bridged.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Female Fitness Center Manager

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• This role is quite strategic, the ideal candidate will be required to serve as a middle man between the CEO, COO and the board of directors as well as the customers, vendors and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure efficiency
• Daily operations of the center in order to improve performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies
• Manage partner staff to improve performance and procedures
• Ensure marketing achievements are effectively utilized to increase profit
• Work with the COO, CEO, and board of directors to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long - term goals
• Ensure visitors and employees are entering a clean and safe environment that meets health & safety standards as set by the company as well as local rules and regulations at all times
• Purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure efficiency
• Appraise partner's performance in line with client's expectations and center's standards
• Provide strategic input into the company, setting your team's future up for growth and success
• Build alliances and partnerships with other complementary service industry
• Deliver consistent performance against set targets on key customer satisfaction measures and carry out daily / weekly reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and training in Business management and similar experience
• Health and safety training is an added advantage
• A minimum of 3 years experience with at least 2 years in similar positions especially in the hospitality industry; Restaurant, hotel or a similar business
• The candidates who will be considered for the job must live on the Island, must be willing to work 6 days a week, 8 am to 7 pm (could be slightly longer because the Center manager will ensure the center is opened and closed.

Salary

• N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
• Premium Health package will be given
