We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head - Business Development and Commercial

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • The job holder will be responsible for building relationships and providing strategic direction to help the company grow and be profitable month on month.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities for the company to increase its footprint
  • Develop documents and information for requests for proposals (RFPs) for new opportunities for business growth and enhanced operations
  • Implement opportunities to enhance distribution and open up new markets and methods to enhance efficiency within the organization’s commercial and operations departments
  • Building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external sales and marketing departments, vendors, distributors, and customers
  • Conduct market research to identify developments/changes in industry trends in order to make necessary adjustments
  • Develop and make presentations to company executives and management teams highlighting business or operations opportunities or to present the results of new strategies
  • Manage the performance of managers and team members within the department through the formal performance management system.
  • Presenting market research to the operations and commercial department and recommending strategies to improve market research

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10years experience in Business Development or related field
  • Master’s in Business Management or similar field
  • Ability to build and lead an effective and cohesive business development team
  • Proficiency in market research, project, and Agric operations management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ingenuity in developing successful strategies
  • Good with relationship/stakeholder management with sound negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Excellent leadership and analytical skills.
