Job Title: General Manager, Sales and Marketing
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Reporting Line: Operating Business Manager and Ecommerce team
Level: Senior
Key Responsibilities
The GM Sales & Marketing will be responsible for formatting and implementing overall strategy and establishing policies for the Sales and Ecommerce team
Provide leadership, direction and focus for the team, to see to it that all targets and organization expectations are met. Ensuring sales team is productive on the job.
Develop and nurture a dynamic and competent workforce through a robust performance driven culture.
Provide the strategic leadership, team spirit and the drive to ensure achievement of company objectives from the business management team.
Achieve growth and hit sales targets monthly by successfully managing the sales team.
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company customer base.
Identifying emerging markets and market shifts and keeping company innovative and competitive.
Present sales, revenue report and realistic forecasts to the management team
Drive brands development, maintenance and optimization while working closely with National business team to effectively align products with consumer demands.
Work with NBM team to build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with the stores and understanding their customer’s needs.
Take ownership of objective setting for the National business team, coaching and performance development, monitoring of sales performance and store operations.
Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
Managing the Ecommerce team to ensure that they meet the required target and strategy formulated for the team is implemented.
Increasing corporate client base and meeting corporate sales target.
Training sales team on skill required to grow on the job at least once a month.
Every other duty as assigned by Management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required
MSC or MBA is preferred
8+ years combined and progressive senior management experience with budget development, fiscal and staff management experience
Extensive leadership and operational management experience in a technologically driven and fast paced Fashion retail environment
Excellent Business Acumen
Demonstrable vendor and contract management
Demonstrably track record of achievement of performance management improvement and delivery at a senior management level.
Profile for the Ideal Candidate:
Able to provide visionary and strategic leadership and translates vision into measurable goals and definitive actions.
Have excellent Digital marketing skills.
Innovative and a problem solver.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and business acumen..
Extensive hands-on experience in the day to day operations of corporate services within an organization especially fashion retail.
Experience with administrative and fiscal management, budgeting and operations
Demonstrates effective delegation of staff responsibilities and a system of follow up and accountability.
Inspiring and inclusive leadership style with demonstrable track record of managing and supporting staff.
At least 5 years of leadership experience managing large/small teams and multiple functions in a fast-growing startup or fashion retail organization.
Proven track record of scaling B2C sales
Strong entrepreneurial mindset. You are excited about the unknown and live and breathe execution and results
