Michael Stevens Consulting - Our client, a favorite brand for children's clothing in Nigeria seeks to urgently fill the role: Retail Sales Associate who would be responsible for the in store customer experience that would lead to increased sales, customer delight and retention. Gathering of market intelligence of geographical area to promote marketing and drive sales.
Manage the retail store to maximize profit and also manage and develop the team members that are direct reports.

Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Location: Apapa (Lagos), Abuja, Lekki (Lagos), Surulere (Lagos), Port Harcourt.

Responsibilities:

• Amongst other job responsibilities of the position includes:
• Assumes responsibility for excellent customer service to promote sales, customer satisfaction and retention
• Involved in the strategic planning of all store activities
• Gather market intelligence of area to promote marketing and drive sales
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, year-end inventory and cycle counts.
• Prepare store reports to guide the supervisor in planning and management decision making.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display main
• Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.

Education and Qualification:
BSc, HND qualification

Age and Language:
21-32 and Fluency in English and any other Nigerian language

Experience:
At least 2 years retail experience in a reputable organization (fashion organisation would be an added advantage)

Person Specification:
Youthful, vibrant confidence look with capacity to smile and engage people

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of up selling and cross selling
• Basic knowledge and use of computer and Microsoft applications

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong leadership and team playing skills is crucial to the role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills is a must
• Good organization or merchandising skills
• Good selling and customer service skills
• Able to persuade, influence and educate customers on products and services
