Job Description

• This role is primarily responsible for financial analysis and preparing financial transactions in compliance with accounting controls and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with Accounting Standards
• Prepare financial reconciliations, raising journal entries and working papers and implementing appropriate policies, systems, procedures and practices to ensure the integrity of the general ledger and budget development systems.
• Develop and implement financial and operational policies, procedures and practices which facilitate and support financial management within the Organisation.
• Undertake complex research activities and prepare submissions, reports and briefing materials for senior officers and forums on financial policy and management issues.
• Identify departmental training needs in financial accounting and management and contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and training programs to meet these needs.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any other Social Science discipline.
• 2-10 years work experience.

Key Competency Requirements:

• Advanced financial and accounting knowledge, including in depth understanding of public sector international and Nigerian accounting standards.
• Good leadership/supervisory, coaching and mentoring and people management skills.
• Hands-on experience in financial planning and analysis.
