The Nest Lounge, a business lounge located in Yaba, Lagos State, is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lounge Manager

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Essential Functions

• Hire, train, supervise, direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff in the bar and lounge.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff.
• Assign and instruct bar and lounge staff in details of work.
• Observe performance and encourage improvement where necessary.
• Communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate information.
• Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situation.
• Make decisions and take actions based on good judgment.
• Develop and implement basic operating standards for bar and lounge service in compliance with The Nest Lounge’s own practices.
• Maximize bar and lounge profitability; implement effective controls of beverage and monitor thelounge’s budget to ensure efficient operations, including achieving budgeted revenue and labor expenses.

Education / Experience

• Four year College Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience.
• Food Handler Certificate (an added advantage).
• At least two years food and beverage experience.
• Ability to accomplish necessary tasks on a computer.
• Meet governmental regulations dealing with the sale of alcoholic beverages.
• Meet governmental health requirements.
• Knowledge of beverage operations, basic drink service and supervisory knowledge.
• Knowledge of beers, liquors and wines.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees.
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.
