Job Title: Human Resources Advisor

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary;

  • The HR Advisor will provide high quality HR advice and support to all employees and managers within the business with two major focus.Firstly to continue the development of the processes, procedures and systems surrounding HR and secondly to provide guidance on these processes and work with the business to execute areas such as manpower planning, recruitment, adding HR value as required.
  • Working with the local Management team and under the framework of West Africa HR, the HR Advisor will be a standalone role providing the local HR support and deliver an effective HR service within the office based in Lagos with occasional visits to our operational sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first line of support to all employees for any enquiries.
  • Review and updating of local HR policies to ensure they are updated and compliant with local labour laws as well as Group requirements and to introduce new local HR Policies as required locally or by Regional HR.
  • Lead and run recruitment for vacancies within the business, ensuring both the recruitment process is effective by running the administration but also working with the Managers to advise on Job specs, solutions to complete resource gaps
  • Responsible for Onboarding and Offboarding of staff - including timely new starter and leaver administration, pre-employment checks, coordinating and executing orientation, induction, probation follow up and exit interviews.  Respond and resolve where possible routine employee queries, issues, and complaints, escalating where appropriate to the management team or Regional Head, HR.
  • Maintain proper record keeping and filing systems.
  • Responsible for up to date and accurate HR data analytics and employee records, both electronic and paper-based, leading all HR master data changes in the HRIS platform Success Factors (ETMS).
  • Work with Group and Regional HR on tasks and projects as required.
  • Manage Employee services, build relationships with employees and colleagues to ensure information is communicated clearly and appropriately.
  • Co-ordinate and manage key employee engagement activities such as town halls, staff events, etc.
  • Help build the ECOM culture
  • Support in building key Talent activities such as TNA's, performance management, coordination of development programs where needed
  • Monitor adherence by all employees to company policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in Human Resources or Business Management and/or Professional HR accreditation e.g. CIPD, SHRMP, IHRMP
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong HR Operational and coordination skills.
  • Proven experience of running Recruitment campaigns.
  • HR Database skills including management reporting and data analysis.
  • Good IT literacy including excel, word, mail merge and PowerPoint.
  • Pragmatic problem solver and a self-starter.
  • Good engagement and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, across all levels of the organization, both internal and external.
  • Strong customer focus with strong integrity.
  • Excellent Team player.
  • Ability to get things done in a highly pressurized environment.
  • Demonstrable ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and attention to details.
