MKOBO is a fully licensed Microfinance bank by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Lagos, Nigeria. MKOBO was conceived to help solve consumers’ need for access to short-term emergency credit. Our goal is to provide access to short term unsecured loans, which is easily accessible. We cater to the demography currently undeserved by the Commercial banks in our aim to help increase financial inclusion of the Nigerian population.

Job Details

• This is a strategic role where you will work with the CEO and lead a team of professionals to design, build and roll out our digital banking products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage the product roadmap and backlog for all digital products
• Oversee and manage lead requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
• Partner with the executive teams to identify key capabilities needed as well as identify potential issues
• Partner with cross-functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritisation
• Partner with the Technology team to manage the roadmap and backlog to ensure that the team delivers all capabilities on time and per expectation.
• Monitor and evaluate product performance to ensure constant product iteration and improvements
• Scoping and prioritising activities based on business and customer impact.
• Driving product launches through collaboration with the public relations team, executives, and other product management team members.
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• You have a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role with a solid experience in conceptualising, developing and launching products on time using a design thinking approach.
• Demonstrable experience working with Digital Banking products is highly preferred (eg internet banking, Faster payments, mobile apps, Blockchain etc)
• Consumer financial services industry experience and strong understanding of Digital business, while experience with travel, lifestyle or other consumer product development is a strong advantage.
• Strong product management experience in digital companies with a customer-focused, results-based approach and ability to deliver to deadlines.
• Have a solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
• Technical mindset, paired with strong analytical skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills and the confidence in your experience to champion your ideas.
• User journey design and customer testing across digital services
