We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Digital Marketer

Location: Surulere, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for successfully managing digital strategy for client brands.
  • The role requires an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of a client business and drive growth opportunities.
  • The Digital Marketing Strategist answers key questions such as how brands are communicated and experienced through digital interactions, and how digital interactions fit into broader customer experiences.
  • This individual combines an in-depth knowledge of client business objectives, online strategies, and their competitive landscape with a rich background in the digital marketing industry to deliver effective digital marketing recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops unique strategies and builds upon current client strategies within the digital space to meet/exceed objectives.
  • Manages overall project scope and ensures staffing assumptions adhere to budget
  • Develops strong, trusting relationships between clients and agency partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution
  • Manages client expectations, bringing issues/concerns to clients' attention before they become problems, offering potential solutions, and advising of potential delivery delays
  • Works with project managers to ensure team is aligned to client requirements
  • Proactively keeps abreast of assigned clients' marketing and media plans, and provides technological solutions including rich media, site optimization, promotional ideas, mobile, social networks, viral, etc.
  • Writes communications briefs, ensuring that creative and media are effectively integrated
  • Manages research studies that yield rich insights into consumer online behaviour and key motivational/attitudinal behaviour
  • Develops a total understanding of online target audience and mindset modes
  • Ensures accountability is established during the project planning process
  • Develop digital marketing strategies across multiple channels, including social media, email marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and content marketing
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer behavior, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with creative team to develop engaging content, visuals, and messaging that resonates with target audience
  • Plan SEO best practices to improve website visibility, traffic, and search engine rankings
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance, using data to drive strategic decisions and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI by working closely with the data analytics team.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and techniques, and recommend new strategies to clients and internal teams
  • Mentor and train junior team members on digital marketing best practices and industry trends

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field. A Marketing Degree in the related field is a plus.
  • 2 years of full-time experience in digital marketing and advertising (digital experience required)
  • Platform marketing experience and monetizing online assets a plus
  • Superior communication skills, both internal and client-facing
  • Strong relationship management, organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of internal teams and business groups, including Creative, Media and Technical Delivery Specialists
  • Ability to identify opportunities for growth and incremental opportunities with client partners
  • Strong interest in marketing technology, Data and ecommerce
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Understanding of Nigerian and African digital marketing landscape and trends is mandatory
  • Should have delivered technology projects related to brand or marketing strategy
  • Experience working with multiple digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, SEO, PPC, and content marketing
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to drive strategic decisions and optimize campaigns
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and techniques, and recommend new strategies to clients and internal teams
  • Experience with global MNC, Advertising groups or Digital agency will be preferred.
