Main Purpose of Position
Direct, manage and coordinate logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service activities.
Organise the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods, and to ensure that orders are satisfied correctly.
Lead and direct strategic planning for logistics and customer services.
Job Description
Responsible for receipt and tagging of all received goods.
Design, implement & manage an effective and efficient storage/ retrieval system
Manage and ensure distribution of goods to all outlets
Manage & develop the staff that are direct reports
Prepare all L&D reports to guide in management planning and decision making

Responsible for inventory management
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems.
Create policies or procedures for logistics and distribution activities.
Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.
Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems or customer issues.
Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
Direct distribution centre operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
Negotiate transportation rates or services.
Design models for use in evaluating logistics programs or services.
Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.
Direct or coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources.
Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation services.
Conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation.
Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
Oversee the planned maintenance of vehicles.
Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting, and self actualization.
Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.
Qualification and Experiences
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Marketing, Business Management, Logistics or Supply chain Management or a related field.
Master's Degree in relevant discipline
A minimum of 7 - 10 years experience in similar role (inclination to fashion would be an added advantage).
Any professional certification would be an added advantage
Proven record of successful distribution and logistics management
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

Must be able to use MS Office applications –Word, Outlook, and Excel to a competent standard.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive.
