Job Title: General Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: MD/CEO

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the company.
  • As a General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, strategic planning, and growth of the organization.
  • Your main objective will be to drive business success by implementing effective strategies, optimizing performance, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the overall operations of the company, including finance, human resources, administration, marketing, sales, and facility management functions.
  • Develop and implement effective operational strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure that the company's operations are efficient.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to establish and execute business plans, set performance goals, and develop strategies for achieving those goals.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reports to track the company's progress towards its goals.
  • Manage the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of the operations team members to ensure that they have the necessary skills and expertise to perform their roles effectively.
  • Develop and implement innovative marketing and sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including industry associations, regulatory bodies, and other relevant organizations.
  • Represent the company in public forums, including industry events, conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with proven experience in a senior management role
  • Previous experience within the real estate industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in managing the operations in a high-growth organization.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets, financial analysis, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their goals.
  • Experience in developing and implementing effective operational strategies and policies.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements in the real estate industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate operational risks.
