We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Carpenter (Wood Factory)

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Qualification / Experience / Skills

• SSCE / NABTEB / Trade test Certification in Carpentry / Furniture Making or successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship.
• 3-5 years experience as carpenter
• In-depth experience in working with carpentry materials
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
• Vast in the use of electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Good knowledge of English
• Good understanding of basic math
• Good physical condition and endurance
• Good supervisory and leadership skills
• Applicants should possess relevant skills, qualifications and experience.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to read and follow blue print, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirement.
• Ability to measure cut and take accurate measurements and also calculate the size and amount of materials needed.
• Ability to construct lay out floorings, roofing or drywalls ensuring they are leveled and compatible
• Ability to carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated
• Ability to inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
• Ability to build scaffolding and other construction structures.
