The Role

• Flutterwave is seeking an experienced and visionary Product Manager with a strong passion for the Small and Medium Business (SMB) domain to join our fintech team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by small businesses in Nigeria. A proven track record of bringing innovative solutions to the Nigerian market is a must.
• The Product Manager will play a key role in assisting with defining and executing the Product Strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving the product roadmap to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with business goals, market trends and customer needs. Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product differentiation and innovation.
• Roadmap Planning and Execution: Create and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and customer impact. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and operations teams to drive product development and successful product launches. Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure alignment with product goals/objectives.
• User Experience and Design: Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly experiences. Incorporate user feedback and data analytics to continuously improve and optimize the product.
• Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with compliance teams to ensure the product meets all necessary legal and regulatory standards.
• Performance Analysis: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for our product. Analyze data and customer feedback to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements
Required competency and skill set to be a waver:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Product Management, or a related field
• Proven 6+years’ experience as a Product Manager in the fintech industry, with working knowledge of the small business domain.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Agile development methodology and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with payment systems
• Proven ability to drive the successful launch of products from concept to market.
• Ideally have experience starting/operating a small business in Nigeria
