Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Procurement Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring technical goods, services, and equipment required for our operations.
As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of technical resources while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
Responsible for procurement of project-related materials (e.g. Steel, Pipes, Mechanical, Plumbing, Construction etc.)
Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, and aid business performance.
Provide support service to Project by ensuring material and documentation deliverables proceed in accordance with contractual requests, and fully in agreement with Project processes.
Drive cost reduction on suppliers and negotiate contracts and terms of business with project suppliers.
Enhance the purchase on credit from reliable vendors
Timely delivery of stakeholders’ requests (within a maximum of a week for non-urgent orders and 2 days for urgent orders)
Conduct industry and market research to identify potential suppliers
Conduct vendor evaluation as guided by the department SOP
Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and different departments
Maintain a tracker for all requests and update the requester on the progress of orders on a weekly basis
Work with procurement software and systems.
Strong Analytical, and numerical skills with strong proven problem-identification and solution abilities.
Have in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite with a focus on Excel skills
Maintain great communication and relationships with stakeholders and different departments.
Persuasive and eager to learn.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
4 - 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a technical or engineering-focused environment.Strong understanding of technical products, services, and equipment relevant to the industry.Proficiency in procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.Experience in project management and supply chain management principles.Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems.
