Bingham University located in Karu, 25 kilometers from the Federal Capital city of Nigeria Abuja, was established in 2005 by the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) as a Conventional University. It is one of the six private universities in the north and the only one established by a Christian organization.
The main purpose of ECWA was to meet the daring need for high-quality Secular Education which recognizes and integrates the moral and spiritual values on which the Christian faith is founded as well as focuses on entrepreneurial studies in order to promote self-reliance among graduates of the University.
In accordance with the provision of Bingham University Law, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below which will be vacant on the 19th July, 2024:
Job Title: Registrar
Location: Karu, Nasarawa
The Job
The Registrar, who is the Chief Administrative Officer and one of the Principal Officers of the University, shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University.
By virtue of his/her office, he/she shall be the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess a good honours First Degree in Humanities or related disciplines. Possession of relevant postgraduate degree would be an added advantage.
Registration with professional bodies is required (such as ANUPA, NIM, CIA, and other professional bodies).
Candidates are expected to have served for at least 10 years in sufficiently senior administrative cadre including as Deputy Registrar in the University system or in comparable establishments.
Suitable candidates are expected to be knowledgeable about the operations of the University system and competent to advise and take executive action on matters of planning, design and management in realization of the cardinal objectives of teaching, research and community service.
Sufficient knowledge of ICT is required.
Conditions of Service
The appointment for the post of Registrar will be for a single term of five years only.
The conditions of service would be as applicable in the Nigerian University system and as determined by Council from time to time.
