Bethel Mind Recruits - Our client, a reputable Hospitality Apartment, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chef

Location: Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • We seek to employ an experienced, smart and result-oriented individuals with experience in kitchen duties to join our hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
  • Monitor equipment condition and arrange for repairs or replacements.

Menu Planning and Development:

  • Develop menus that meet guests' preferences and industry trends.
  • Create new recipes and refine existing ones to maintain freshness and innovation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan special events and promotions.

Food Preparation:

  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes.
  • Train kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures.
  • Ensure consistency in food quality and portion sizes.
  • Monitor food costs and minimize waste.

Staff Management:

  • Train, and supervise kitchen staff.
  • Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure efficient operation.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Handle disciplinary issues when necessary.

Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular inspections of food products to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Taste and evaluate dishes for flavor, texture, and presentation.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with guests to gather feedback and address concerns.
  • Make recommendations and accommodate special requests.
  • Ensure a positive dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a hotel or similar establishment.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary school.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for food quality and innovation.
