The Obafemi Awolowo University is a comprehensive public institution established in 1962 as The University of Ife. The University is situated on a vast expanse of land totaling 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest of Nigeria.

The University comprises the central campus, the student residential area, the staff quarters and a Teaching and Research Farm. The central campus comprises the academic, administrative units and service centers while the student residential area is made up of 10 undergraduate hostels and a postgraduate hall of residence.

Job Specification

• The successful applicant to this position would be called Pastor Enoch Adeboye "Outstanding" Professor of Mathematics, in the sense that he/she must have earned it by his or her outstanding accomplishments.

Candidate for the Position must have:

• A Ph. D. in Pure or Applied Mathematics from a reputable University
• An impeccable record of teaching and research career in the Professorial Cadre (i. e. Professor or Associate Professor). Part of a demonstrable indicator of research achievement is the number of Ph.Ds successfully supervised by the candidate.
• Possess administrative and academic leadership skills augmented by requisite communication and interpersonal skills and must be of proven integrity.
• Possession of cutting-edge information technology (IT) credentials will be an added advantage.
• Membership of learned societies in the Mathematics Science is highly desirable.

Tenure

• The chair has tenure of two (2) years non-renewable.
