Role Overview
Global Citizen seeks an exceptionally organized and personable individual with a proven track record of relationship management and project management as its Manager, Partnerships to work with the Move Afrika Team.
The position is responsible for leading and supporting major Global Citizen Move Afrika accounts, specifically organizing the delivery strategy and execution of the partnership internally.
This role will build and lead the implementation of comprehensive delivery plans to ensure first-class partnership delivery. You will always look for opportunities to improve the experience of the partner and encourage longer-term partnerships.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated account management success and high-level organizational skills to lead and manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Management (50%):
Lead and support the relationship management of a portfolio of corporate and philanthropy partners
Manage the planning and execution of partnership projects and campaigns, from inception through delivery, maintaining alignment with partner objectives and organizational goals.
Oversee the implementation of all partnership deliverables, providing timely, clear, and data-driven updates to partners on progress, outcomes, and impact.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations, to ensure effective team execution.
Facilitate cross-functional communication by clearly sharing partnership goals, deliverables, and performance insights with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and accountability.
Identify opportunities to grow and expand existing partnerships through strategic recommendations and innovative campaign ideas.
Campaign Management (35%):
Support the development and execution of strategic concepts, campaign proposals, and partnership activations for both new and existing partners, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and partner goals.
Lead the planning and on-the-ground execution of offline activations, ensuring all elements are delivered in accordance with agreed partner objectives, timelines, and brand standards.
Work closely with the internal team to pivot to new strategies when necessary.
Program and Grant Management (10%):
Prepare and deliver regular progress reports to the client, including comprehensive impact reports upon the conclusion of each partnership.
Provide consistent updates and detailed reporting to the Managing Director, Africa.
Monitor and manage expense budgets to ensure alignment with approved financial plans.
Support the team by performing additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Sales (5%):
Support the Business Development/Sales team to upsell current partnerships
Lead renegotiations and ensure each single-year partnership becomes a multi-year partnership with Global Citizen
Requirements
Education & Experience:
Partnership management positions require a Bachelor’s Degree. A background in Health is a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of relationship and project management experience. Experience within an agency setting is an asset.
Attributes:
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong research and writing skills
Excellent organizational skills; and attention to detail
Ability to manage projects with professionalism and discretion
The capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in a second AU language is a plus
Highly proficient in MS Office, Excel, Google Suite
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
Maintain a commitment to eradicating extreme poverty.

Global Citizen operates on a hybrid work model - 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in our Lagos office and 2 days (Monday & Friday) telecommuting.
Salary Range: Gross Annual Salary of $40,000 - $45,000 USD shall be payable by equal monthly installments in Naira Equivalent using the official going rate on a monthly basis, which will be subject to all statutory deductions to include pension and personal income tax.
