We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager

Location: Ajah, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Managing Director / CEO

Job Summary

  • The General Manager (GM) oversees the daily operations, strategic planning, business development, and financial performance of the real estate company.
  • The GM is responsible for managing cross-functional teams, driving profitability, ensuring customer satisfaction, and ensuring all property development, sales, leasing, and facility management operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company goals and expand market presence.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with the board or executive team to shape long-term vision.

Business Development & Sales:

  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and property acquisition prospects.
  • Lead marketing and sales strategies to drive occupancy, property sales, or leasing performance.
  • Cultivate relationships with investors, developers, government agencies, and high-value clients.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily business operations, including project management, finance, HR, and compliance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of real estate projects within budget and quality standards.
  • Supervise leasing, property management, and tenant services.

Team Leadership & HR:

  • Hire, mentor, and manage departmental heads and key staff.
  • Set performance benchmarks, conduct evaluations, and lead staff development initiatives.
  • Foster a results-oriented, collaborative, and ethical work culture.

Financial Oversight:

  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Optimize cost control and resource allocation across departments.
  • Monitor cash flow, profitability, and investment returns.

Legal & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to real estate laws, zoning regulations, building codes, and other statutory requirements.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, lease agreements, and dispute resolutions.

Project Oversight (if applicable):

  • Supervise construction, renovation, or development projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Ensure timelines, safety, and quality compliance are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Estate Management, Business Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • A Master’s (MBA or M.Sc) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in real estate, property development, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and managing large teams.
