CCETC SUK Power Company Limited (SUK) is a power generation company affiliated to CCETC China. SUK is a new company with over a decade specialization in the generation of clean energy and power, gas manufacturing and fuel generating sets power plant investment. We generate power for industrial purposes in order to boost production and our system of generation which is clean energy is environmentally friendly.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Lagos-Ibadan Expressway - Lagos and Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Accounting, reporting and auditing:
Review and check the comprehensiveness, accuracy and completeness of all accounting records and supporting documents in the ledger
Prepare management accounts to meet bank loan needs.
Manage raw material and finished goods inventory
Responsible for statutory audits, solving problem with financial information examiners and logistics information examiners,
Manage transfer pricing documentation and ensure fairness of inter-company transactions.
Oversee sales and purchasing, including warehousing
Ensure the efficient running of the day-to-day activities of the account/finance department
Ensure that financial reporting is in line with IFRS principle
Provide sound financial support and insights that enable the organization to make critical business decisions
Review and monitor operating expenses.
Keep effective communication with the External Auditor to ensure the organization in compliance with accounting standards
Manage and supervise the company's banking and borrowing arrangements
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, control tax, accounting and ensure financial and management accounting functions.
Manage relationships with regulatory and statutory bodies such as LIRS, FIRS, etc
Maintain relationships with external financial partners and interact closely with financial advisors, auditors and government agencies.
Stay up-to-date on new developments in reporting, tax, and other regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
Responsible for overseeing the annual external audit and ensuring the findings in the audit management letter addressed.
Acting as the lead liaison to negotiate with the bank for the lowest cost of foreign exchange & other transactions.
Review team members' work to ensure team goals to be met.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and related standards.
Tax and regulatory compliance:
Effectively review and reconcile general ledger entries for tax calculations and improvements.
Verify that tax returns for VAT, PAYE, withholding tax, NASSIT calculations, corporate income tax are accurate and submitted by the statutory deadlines.
Ensure that all tax filings and reports are properly documented for audit purposes.
Review of asset plans and documents issued by CAFA.
Tax planning and other regulatory compliance
Monitor transfer pricing regulations.
Review transaction tax obligations by examining contracts/agreements to identify issues of tax inefficiencies.
Ensure compliance with the regulatory and tax requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies to ensure optimal planning. Register with statutory bodies and renew dues and payments.
Prepare, publish, and update compliance trackers to capture compliance requirements for projects, contracts, industries, investors, regulatory, specific aspects.
Extensive experience in handling tax matters; resolving tax issues or disputes; Respond to tax inquiries and prepare tax schedules for payments
Advise management on the tax implications of decisions made and advise on tax strategies to minimize liabilities while remaining compliant.
Acts as the primary point of contact for the tax authorities, handles all tax inspections, tax audits, and ensures that the business is prepared for any conclusions.
Other related tasks and projects as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, ACA, ACCA or ACTI qualifications , working experience in financial engineering, statutory audit and tax audit of manufacturing enterprises is preferred
At least 12 years of extensive financial experience, including 4-7 years of financial management experience, independently managed a finance team of 5 or more people, and has a proven track record of financial leadership in progressively responsible roles.
Experienced and able to arrange work actively & independently or with minimal supervision.
Analytical thinkers with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and communicate complex information in an effective manner through persuasive communication, negotiation skills, and articulated expression skills in both oral and written contexts.
Being diligent, detail-oriented, innovative, and good at solving problems with the ability to help companies achieve their goals.
