Job Title: Van Driver

Location: Umuahia, Abia

Description

• We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Van Driver to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that our goods and services are delivered promptly and safely to our clients.
• As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for transporting products to various locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
• You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and representing our company’s commitment to quality service.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of local driving routes and a commitment to following delivery schedules will be essential. The position requires a valid driver’s license and may involve lifting and unloading items, so physical fitness and stamina are important.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods in a safe and timely manner to designated locations
• Ensure the vehicle is maintained and good operating condition
• Load and unload items as required and secure loads properly
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes for deliveries
• Complete delivery paperwork and keep accurate records of deliveries
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and status
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during transport
• Assist with inventory management and reporting any vehicle issues immediately

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an FSLC / SSCE / GCE / NECO / HND / OND qualification 
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Proven experience as a van driver or similar role
• Strong knowledge of local driving routes and traffic laws
• Ability to lift heavy items and carry out physical tasks
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and safety protocols.
