Job Title: Site Engineer

Position Overview

• The site engineer will play a crucial role in the construction and engineering aspects of our projects.
• The site engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical aspects of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
• S/he will work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of construction projects.

Responsibilities
As a Site Engineer, you will:

• Plan and coordinate on-site construction activities
• Supervise construction activities, including excavation, foundation work, structural erection, and mechanical installations.
• Suggest process and technical design changes to improve performance and efficiency
• Implement improvements to designs and processes.
• Test material and structural integrity.
• Research the environmental impact of projects.
• Monitor project progress, compliance with design specifications, and safety standards
• Direct engineering activities, assign tasks, and provide training and support
• Create work schedules and adjust as needed to meet project deadlines
• Maintain detailed documentation of all site engineering activities
• Collaborate with the project manager to align activities with desired business outcomes
• Assist in managing projects in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Ensuring Quality control using appropriate checklists, systems, and procedures
• Coordinate with the site admin to maintain daily site records.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least five (5) years experience in a similar role, preferably in building construction.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
