Life at Best Development Initiative (LABDI) is National Non-Governmental, Organization (NGO) founded in 2016 and presently operational in the BAY states within the North-East and Northwest. We are dedicated to save lives, alleviate the suffering of children, women, and other vulnerable people; and to maintain human dignity during and in the after math of man–made crises and natural disasters; as well as to prevent and strengthen preparedness for the occurrence of such situation; and to promote the right of children, women, and vulnerable people in the society.
Provide high-quality clinical consultations, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care to patients in accordance with national and WHO guidelines.
Deliver lifesaving medical care for acute illnesses, infectious diseases, chronic conditions, and emergency cases.
Ensure timely management of obstetric emergencies, trauma, malnutrition-related complications, and other conditions common in humanitarian crises.
Provide referrals for complicated cases to secondary or tertiary care facilities and ensure proper documentation.
Support outbreak investigation and response activities within the PHCC and community.
Promote patient-centered care with respect for dignity, culture, and humanitarian principles.
Participate in clinical mentoring, case discussions, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality assurance activities.
Collaborate closely with nurses, midwives, laboratory personnel, community health volunteers, and other PHCC staff to ensure integrated service delivery.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols and safe clinical practices in all consultations.
Support health education and risk communication activities targeting patients and community members.
Ensure the medical facility and staff maintain high ethical and professional standards.
Strengthen the delivery of high-quality healthcare services in line with national and WHO standards.
Counsel, orient, and support newly hired clinical staff.
Provide on-the-job mentoring to refresh and strengthen clinical skills and improve service quality.
Ensure availability of essential drugs and medical supplies according to the approved tracer drug list.
Review laboratory reports and advise on additional investigations or referrals as necessary.
Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to develop drug and supply lists for procurement, ensuring alignment with essential drug lists, coordinate with the Country Pharmacist on updates and waiver processes.
Ensure national protocols and guidelines are available and adhered to by all clinical staff.
Strengthen community linkages by promoting community health programs.
Evaluate the job performance of clinical personnel.
Conduct regular facility assessments and recommend improvements for client-friendly, accessible services.
Ensure accurate documentation and timely entry of patient information into electronic health records.
Oversee supply chain processes, stock management, timely ordering, and accountability of medical supplies.
Promote a culture of learning, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Coordinate closely with other LABDI programs at the same location to support integrated service delivery.
Promote and monitor quality standards in the PHCC and report regularly on quality indicators.
Staff Supervision and Development:
Maintain open, respectful, and professional relations with team members to foster strong teamwork.
Ensure ongoing technical capacity building opportunities for staff.
Provide coaching and monitoring to strengthen the clinical skills of medical doctors.
Management and Reporting:
Prepare purchase and payment requests for health program activities as per donor and grant requirements.
Ensure accurate and timely data collection, entry, and reporting from facility staff.
Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports (field visit narratives, donor reports, weekly reports, ) within set deadlines.
Support the development and maintenance of systems for oversight, quality control, and reporting.
Oversee the collection and timely reporting of program indicators in line with LABDI and donor standards.
In coordination with the Senior Health Manager, LABDI Advisor Program Manager strengthen working relationships with government stakeholders, UN agencies, INGOs, NGOs, and other actors within the health sector.
Other Duties:
Monitor and assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly report concerns and coordinate with management and external actors as needed.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support LABDI’s program development and implementation.

Requirements
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND with 3 - 5 years experience.
