Dewatering Construction ETC Limited is a specialised dewatering company with a highly trained team of professionals in Well point dewatering and allied services. We have undertaken the installation and maintenance and delivery of various dewatering projects with a proven track record. We are based in Lagos with various sites within and outside Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Site Worker

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are hiring to support all on-site dewatering operations, including the safe operation and basic maintenance of pumps and equipment, frequent loading and unloading of heavy materials, assisting in the drilling of mini water wells, and performing a wide range of labour-intensive tasks as directed by company supervisory staff to ensure efficient and effective project completion.

Principal Accountabilities:

• As a leading provider of dewatering services in the construction industry, we seek dedicated, physically fit, reliable, and hardworking field staff.
• You will be integral to our site operations, ensuring projects proceed safely, on time, and to standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all company safety policies, processes, and procedures always.
• Operate, monitor, and perform basic care and maintenance on company dewatering pumps and machinery.
• Assist the Site Foreman in the installation, setup, and jetting of dewatering systems.
• Prepare sites by cleaning obstacles, debris, and hazards.
• Load and unload dewatering materials, equipment, and tools from vehicles.
• Assemble and disassemble dewatering equipments on site including accessories for dewatering.
• Perform excavation tasks as required.
• Participate actively in all job training.
• Perform clean-up of dewatering pumps, accessories, and the general work area.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses immediately to the supervisor.
• Observe all company rules and regulations, representing the company in a positive and professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and report any issues or concerns promptly to the supervisor.
• Assist the Logistics/Warehouse teams in maintaining the warehouse when needed.
• Assist with various day-to-day site duties as needed.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of a Senior School Certificate with proven ability to read and write.
• Prior experience in the construction industry is an added advantage.
• Be at least 24 years of age.
• Proven ability to perform strenuous physical tasks repeatedly.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be time-conscious, trustworthy, and reliable.
• Must have a working mobile phone for communication.

• Prior direct experience with pumps, dewatering, or civil excavation is a significant advantage.

Remuneration
The remuneration is attractive and incudes HMO.
