Role Overview
New Label Ray Media seeks an exceptional Creative Director / Editor-in-Chief to lead the creative vision, editorial authority, and narrative direction across its media, content, and communications portfolio.
This executive role sits at the intersection of creativity, storytelling, brand strategy, and audience engagement. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with strong editorial judgment, cultural intelligence, and commercial awareness—capable of shaping high-impact content ecosystems that drive relevance, influence, and revenue.
Core Mandate
To own and safeguard the creative and editorial integrity of New Label Ray Media, ensuring emotional consistency, brand coherence, storytelling excellence, and market leadership across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Vision & Strategy:
Define and steward the overarching creative vision across all verticals.
Develop and maintain a robust Creative & Editorial Framework (Creative Bible).
Ensure consistency in tone, voice, visual identity, and storytelling quality.
Translate corporate objectives into compelling narrative strategies.
Editorial Leadership:
Oversee all editorial planning, content calendars, and publishing strategies.
Approve major content themes, flagship productions, and special projects.
Maintain high standards of journalistic integrity, originality, and relevance.
Lead investigative, feature, documentary, and multimedia storytelling initiatives.
Content & Production Oversight:
Supervise content creation across digital, broadcast, print, podcast, and experiential platforms.
Guide script development, visual direction, and production design.
Ensure content meets audience expectations and commercial objectives.
Drive innovation in format, storytelling techniques, and audience interaction.
Brand & Audience Growth:
Align creative output with brand positioning and growth objectives.
Use analytics and audience insights to refine editorial direction.
Build loyal communities through culturally relevant and emotionally resonant content.
Lead brand-defining campaigns and flagship projects.
Commercial & Strategic Alignment:
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Business Development to ensure monetization alignment.
Balance creative excellence with commercial viability.
Support branded content, sponsorship integration, and partnership storytelling.
Talent & Creative Team Leadership:
Lead writers, producers, editors, designers, and creative contributors.
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing creative teams.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
Oversee freelance contributors and external creative agencies where applicable.
Reputation & Industry Influence:
Represent the organization at industry forums, media engagements, and public events.
Position New Label Ray Media as a thought leader in the creative and media landscape.
Monitor cultural trends, emerging platforms, and competitive intelligence.
