Position Overview

• A private high-net-worth family based in Abuja is seeking a highly experienced, educated, and professional Nanny to care for their two school-aged boys.
• The ideal candidate will be mature, well-spoken, proactive, and passionate about child development.
• This role requires someone who can provide attentive care, support the children’s academic and personal development, and maintain a structured and nurturing environment.
• The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, discretion, and the ability to work within a private household while maintaining the highest level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, responsible, and nurturing care for two school-aged boys.
• Supervise daily routines including school preparation, homework support, and extracurricular activities.
• Support the children’s academic development through reading, learning activities, and homework guidance.
• Plan and engage the children in educational and age-appropriate activities that promote creativity and personal development.
• Maintain a structured daily routine that supports discipline, learning, and healthy habits.
• Coordinate school schedules, appointments, and activity calendars where necessary.
• Ensure the children’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Encourage positive behavior, good manners, and social skills.
• Assist with light child-related household duties such as organizing the children’s rooms, school materials, and clothing.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding the children’s progress, needs, and daily activities.
• Accompany children to outings, events, or school-related engagements when required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience working as a professional nanny or childcare provider within a private household.
• Must be educated (minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred; background in Education, Child Development, or related field is an advantage).
• Excellent spoken English and strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience caring for school-aged children.
• Mature, responsible, and emotionally intelligent.
• Professional, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Highly organized and proactive with the ability to take initiative.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with children and parents.
• Well-presented and well-mannered.
• Ability to manage routines and structure effectively.

Preferred Qualities:

• Background in early childhood education or teaching.
• First Aid or Childcare certification is an advantage.
• Ability to support learning and educational development.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 per month.
