Job Description
The Sales & Business Development Executive is responsible for supporting and directly contributing to the achievement of the company’s sales revenue targets within the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
The role carries an assigned individual sales revenue target and focuses on lead generation, client engagement, structured account management, bid/tender support, and strict CRM compliance.
The position is developmental but performance-driven, requiring consistent pipeline growth and revenue realization.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Sales Execution:
Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.
Generate new business opportunities within assigned accounts or territories.
Convert leads into qualified opportunities and close sales within defined timelines.
Prepare and deliver client presentations, proposals, and commercial offers.
Negotiate within approved commercial parameters to secure profitable deals.
Track and actively manage personal sales pipeline to ensure revenue realization.
Account Management & Client Engagement:
Develop and implement structured Account Management Plans for assigned clients (Tier 1, 2, and 3 accounts as applicable).
Maintain consistent engagement with clients to identify repeat and upsell opportunities.
Build long-term, trust-based relationships that support recurring revenue.
Support prequalification processes to enable access to bidding opportunities.
Ensure client satisfaction during project execution to drive repeat business.
Bids & Tender Support:
Identify and qualify enquiries aligned with the company’s commercial strategy.
Support preparation and submission of technical and commercial tenders.
Coordinate internally to ensure timely and compliant tender submissions.
Track tender outcomes and improve win ratios through structured feedback.
CRM & Sales Governance:
Maintain 100% compliance with CRM (Zoho or designated tool) including:
Accurate lead and opportunity updates
Pipeline stage management
Forecast accuracy
Client interaction documentation
Submit weekly sales activity and pipeline reports.
Ensure revenue forecasts are realistic and aligned with sales strategy.
Market Intelligence & Brand Development:
Provide structured feedback on competitor activities and market trends.
Support initiatives that improve brand visibility and market penetration.
Key Performance Indicators
Achievement of assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Gross revenue and % profit margin achieved.
Pipeline growth and opportunity conversion rate.
Number of new qualified leads generated per period.
Successful development and execution of Account Management Plans.
% of technical tenders passed and win ratio.
100% CRM (Zoho) compliance and data accuracy.
Forecast accuracy vs. actual revenue.
Client engagement frequency (documented in CRM).
Increase in market penetration within assigned accounts.
100% compliance with QHSSE standards.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline.
1–3 years’ experience in sales or business development (Oil & Gas experience is an advantage).
Demonstrated ability or strong potential to meet revenue targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
Willingness to travel as required.

Salary
N500,000 - N700,000 / month.
