We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Media Sales Executive
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Purpose
The Media Sales Executive drives revenue growth through client acquisition and retention. Depending on the assigned function, the role focuses either on New Business (prospecting and closing new clients) or Account Management (executing campaigns and retaining existing clients).
Team members rotate between functions every 6-12 months to develop comprehensive sales capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
New Business:
Lead Generation & Prospecting:
Identify and generate new business opportunities through cold outreach, networking, partnerships, and industry events
Build and maintain qualified sales pipeline at minimum 3× monthly revenue target
Research and qualify prospects
Discovery & Sales Presentations:
Conduct discovery meetings to understand client needs and budget
Present Nimbus capabilities and tailor solutions to prospect requirements
Deliver compelling sales presentations
Proposal Preparation & Negotiation:
Prepare proposals and pricing for new clients (with Sales Operations Support)
Negotiate commercial terms and close deals (secure commitments/agreements)
Client Handoff:
Document all client details in CRM before handoff
Conduct warm introduction with Account Management team member
Attend first campaign kickoff to ensure smooth transition
Market Intelligence:
Track competitor activity, pricing, and market trends
Build industry relationships and referral networks
CRM & Pipeline Management:
Maintain accurate CRM records in Zoho Begin
Track all interactions and deal stages
Provide sales forecasts and pipeline reports
Account Management:
Client Relationship Management:
Own designated client accounts and serve as primary point of contact
Conduct quarterly check-ins and business reviews
Understand evolving client needs and objectives
Campaign Execution (Start to Finish):
Create proposals for renewal and new campaigns (with Sales Operations Support)
Work with Finance on invoicing and payment terms
Coordinate with Operations on campaign deployment
Monitor campaign during execution
Send proof of exposure to clients
Follow up on payment
Renewals & Upselling:
Proactively identify renewal opportunities
Present upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Negotiate renewal terms and secure commitments
Account Growth:
Develop account growth strategies for key clients
Identify opportunities to increase share of wallet
Present new solutions and capabilities
Client Satisfaction & Retention:
Ensure high-quality campaign execution and client service
Address issues and resolve concerns promptly
Build long-term trusted advisor relationships
CRM & Reporting:
Maintain accurate account records in Zoho Begin
Track campaign performance and client satisfaction
Report on account health
Education & Experience
Minimum OND/HND/BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline
1–3years of sales experience with a proven ability to close deals
Experience in media, advertising, or OOH sales is an advantage
