Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos

Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational functions, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the COO will drive operational excellence across all business units including technology delivery, client services, compliance operations, and internal processes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, deep operational expertise within a technology-driven environment, and the ability to scale systems, processes, and teams in a fast-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
Oversee daily business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with company goals.
Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth and scalability.
Translate company vision into actionable operational plans.
Process Optimization & Performance Management:
Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and workflows.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor performance across departments.
Drive efficiency, cost optimization, and service delivery improvements.
Technology & Product Operations:
Work closely with engineering and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of digital identity, RegTech, and verification solutions.
Ensure operational readiness for product launches and system deployments.
Oversee service reliability, uptime, and performance of platforms.
Client Service & Delivery:
Ensure high-quality service delivery to government and enterprise clients.
Oversee onboarding, implementation, and support processes for clients.
Maintain strong client satisfaction and retention strategies.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure operational compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly within AML/KYC and data protection frameworks.
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Work closely with legal, compliance, and security teams.
Financial & Resource Management:
Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation.
Ensure efficient utilization of company resources to maximize profitability and growth.
Support revenue growth through operational effectiveness.
People & Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage department heads and operational teams.
Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
Support talent development and organizational structure planning.
Strategic Execution:
Partner with the CEO and executive team to execute the company’s strategic roadmap.
Drive cross-functional collaboration across technology, sales, compliance, and operations.
Identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is strongly preferred.
Experience:
8–15 years of professional experience, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
Proven experience in operations management within a technology, fintech, or RegTech company.
Strong track record of scaling operations in a fast-growing organization.
Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and compliance.
