Slitting Operator at Tempo Paper Pulp and Packaging Plc

Tempo Paper Pulp and Packaging Plc is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of BOPP and CPP film to lamination and packaging industries in Africa. It was established in the year 2005 and commenced production of corrugated carton boxes. The flexible packaging arm of the business (BOPP) was introduced in the year 2011 with the first line while CPP production came into being in the year 2019.Our second line of 8.7 meter width wascommissioned in 2022.

A state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Ota, Ogun state (Nigeria) helps us in delivering world class BOPP and CPP films to our customers which meet the trends for recyclability and ultrahigh barrier films, also by manufacturing thicker films with advanced properties for monolayers. This enables us to fulfil new market demands and requirements.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Slitting Operator

Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• To slit the material as per Slitting Planning
• Proper handling of crane for loading and offloading of mill rolls from slitter unwinder
• To do the online observation of running job and to inform the supervisor immediately in case of any abnormality
• To manage the scrap
• To change and fix the chucks on primary slitter
• Proper handling of core cutting machine to cut the paper cores as per supervisor’s instructions
• To ensure proper joint for mill rolls & slit rolls
• Wrapping of slitted rolls as per packing requirement and its weighing without any failure
• Proper time and material management to reduce wastage
• General Machine cleaning
• To maintain personal hygienic and clean environment
• To identify the material varieties to avoid mix-ups
• Recording comprehensive reporting to the Supervisor at the end of shift which is Trim roll weight & other wastage
• Transferring the Trim rolls or other rejected material to Erema
• Other duties as assigned

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum requirement: O'level qualifications; Added advantage: if above
• Minimum requirement: 2years in slitting; Added Advantage: More than 2 years in same field.

Salary
N150,000 / Month.
