Job Title: Front Desk Officer

Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a smart, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Officer to serve as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate professionalism and respectfulness at all times, and be capable of managing front office operations efficiently.
  • The successful candidate should be tech-savvy, creative, and familiar with social media management, photo/video editing tools, and digital design platforms.
  • She must also be flexible, proactive, and willing to work extra hours, including weekends when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and attend to parents, visitors, staff, and students in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails, and other correspondence.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient front desk/reception area.
  • Handle inquiries and provide accurate information about the school’s programs and services.
  • Support administrative tasks including filing, documentation, scheduling, and record keeping.
  • Manage the school’s social media platforms and assist with content creation/posting.
  • Create basic promotional and informational materials using Canva, Adobe, and other editing tools.
  • Capture/edit photos and videos for school events and online engagement.
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and school communications.
  • Assist management with other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Be available to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven work experience in a similar Front Desk/Administrative role.
  • Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management tools.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms/handles (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, etc.).
  • Knowledge of photo/video editing software, including Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud or related Adobe tools.
  • Must be respectful, presentable, and professional in appearance and attitude.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work extra hours and weekends when required.
