Description

• The Entry-Level Consumer Lending Officer is responsible for supporting the consumer loan process by identifying potential customers, evaluating loan applications, and ensuring timely loan disbursement and repayment.
• The role involves direct interaction with clients, credit assessment, and achieving assigned sales and portfolio targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and onboard new customers for consumer loan products (personal loans, salary advances, etc.)
• Educate clients on available loan products, terms, and repayment plans
• Conduct preliminary credit assessments and documentation checks
• Process loan applications in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Follow up on submitted applications to ensure timely approval and disbursement
• Monitor loan repayments and ensure minimal default rates
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and corporate partners
• Meet assigned monthly sales and loan disbursement targets
• Provide excellent customer service and handle client inquiries or complaints
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

• Number of new customers acquired
• Loan disbursement volume
• Portfolio quality (low default rate)
• Loan repayment rate
• Customer satisfaction levels

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 0–2 years of experience (NYSC or internship experience is an advantage)
• Strong interest in sales, marketing, and financial services
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of credit analysis and lending processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
• Ability to work in a target-driven environment
