Job Title: Heavy Duty Mechanic

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Description

• Heavy Duty Mechanics, also called Heavy Equipment Mechanics, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain large machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, cranes, heavy trucks, and other diesel-powered equipment used in construction, mining, agriculture, and transportation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic faults using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and other components.
• Perform preventive maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, inspections).
• Conduct on-site/field repairs and equipment testing.
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records.

Key Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy machinery systems.
• Proficiency with tools, welding, schematics, and diagnostic software.
• 5+ years’ experience (or vocational training/apprenticeship).
• Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding conditions.
