Job Title: Problem, Change & Release Management Analyst

Job Objectives / Summary

• The Problem, Change & Release Management Analyst is responsible for managing IT problems, coordinating change requests, and overseeing the release of IT services and system updates.
• The role ensures minimal disruption to business operations while maintaining stability, control, and efficiency of IT services.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end problem management process, including root cause analysis and resolution tracking
• Coordinate and evaluate change requests to ensure proper risk assessment and approval
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate release activities across IT environments
• Maintain the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process and documentation
• Ensure all changes are tested, approved, and implemented with minimal disruption
• Track and report on incidents, problems, and change performance metrics
• Ensure proper communication of planned changes and releases to stakeholders
• Maintain the configuration management and change records
• Work with technical teams to implement permanent fixes for recurring issues
• Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and organizational policies

Job Requirements
Education and Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• ITIL certification (Foundation or higher) required or preferred
• Experience: 3–5 years’ experience in IT service management, change management, or IT operations
• Experience managing enterprise-level IT changes and releases
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is an added advantage

Knowledge:

• ITIL framework (Problem, Change, and Release Management processes)
• IT Service Management (ITSM) tools (e.g., Service Now, Jira Service Management)
• System release lifecycle and deployment processes
• Root cause analysis techniques (RCA)
• Risk and impact assessment methodologies
• Basic infrastructure, applications, and network concepts

Skills / Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management
• Attention to detail and process compliance
• Effective communication and documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Decision-making under pressure.

Salary
N450,000 - N800,000 monthly.
