About the Role

  • As the Community and Growth Manager, you will be at the heart of Ustackschool's efforts to build a thriving learner community while driving user acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will cultivate meaningful connections among learners and corporate clients, develop growth strategies, and work closely with content, product, and sales teams to turn community into a scalable growth engine.
  • This role sits at the intersection of community building, growth marketing, and customer success — for someone who understands that the best growth comes from people who genuinely love what they're part of.
  • Community Building – create belonging, engagement, and peer-to-peer value among learners.
  • Demand Generation – drive awareness, traffic, and leads through community-led channels.
  • Conversion & Retention – turn engaged community members into paying learners and long-term advocates.
  • Brand Positioning – establish Ustackschool as the go-to "Learning to Earning" platform and community.
  • You must think like a community architect, operate like a growth marketer, and analyze like a product manager.

Position Overview

  • As the Community and Growth Manager, you will design, build, and scale a vibrant learner community while executing growth initiatives across multiple channels and customer touchpoints.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams — content, design, product, and sales — to identify growth opportunities, run experiments, and drive measurable impact on KPIs.

Key Responsibilities
Community Strategy & Management:

  • Own the end-to-end community experience across all platforms (WhatsApp, Discord, Telegram, LinkedIn groups, or community hubs).
  • Define and execute a community growth roadmap tied to business OKRs — from onboarding new members to driving learner milestones.
  • Build and maintain community rituals: weekly AMAs, learner spotlights, cohort check-ins, accountability groups, and live events.
  • Establish community guidelines, moderation standards, and engagement frameworks that foster a safe, active, and high-value space.
  • Identify and nurture community champions and ambassadors — active members who organically recruit and retain others.
  • Gather community feedback and surface insights to product and content teams for continuous improvement.
  • Translate community sentiment into actionable data: engagement rates, NPS, member satisfaction, and churn signals.

Growth Strategy & Experimentation:

  • Develop and maintain a data-driven growth roadmap using frameworks such as AARRR, North Star Metrics, and Community-Led Growth loops.
  • Design and run high-impact growth experiments across the full customer journey — from first touchpoint to revenue.
  • Build an experimentation pipeline: ideation → hypothesis → execution → reporting.
  • A/B test headlines, CTAs, onboarding flows, content formats, and community engagement mechanics.
  • Use proxy metrics, cohort analysis, and behavioral segmentation to identify growth levers and optimize performance.
  • Align all growth initiatives with company OKRs and revenue targets.

Lead Generation & Conversion:

  • Leverage the community as a top-of-funnel engine — turning engaged members into qualified leads.
  • Develop targeted lead magnets, gated content, and community-exclusive offers to capture and nurture prospects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to implement a clear MQL → SQL → Revenue pipeline fed by community activity.
  • Build and manage multi-step nurture sequences (email, SMS, WhatsApp) tailored by behavior, engagement level, and segment.
  • Conduct warm outreach to high-intent community members and convert conversations into sales appointments.
  • Identify decision-makers for corporate/B2B opportunities within the community and route them appropriately.

Retention, Upsell & Lifecycle Marketing:

  • Map and manage the learner lifecycle — from onboarding → engagement → upgrade → renewal → advocacy.
  • Design automated workflows (drip campaigns, re-engagement nudges, milestone celebrations) to maximize LTV.
  • Segment members based on behavior, recency, product usage, and community engagement to deliver personalized journeys.
  • Use tools like Customer.io, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or ActiveCampaign to build and optimize lifecycle campaigns.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities through community touchpoints, learner success stories, and peer influence.
  • Identify churn signals early and deploy reactivation campaigns before members disengage.

Content & Campaign Collaboration:

  • Partner with the content and social media team to design content that serves both community engagement and growth outcomes.
  • Provide data-backed content briefs — identifying winning messages, formats, and topics based on community conversations and performance data.
  • Signal which community content drives conversions, referrals, and virality for the content team to scale.
  • Coordinate UGC (user-generated content) and learner success campaigns that generate social proof and attract new members.
  • Co-create newsletters, social posts, case studies, and community highlights that reflect authentic learner voices.

Events & Brand Activation:

  • Plan and execute online and offline community events — webinars, bootcamp launches, learner showcases, and networking sessions.
  • Lead community activations that increase brand visibility and deepen member loyalty.
  • Represent Ustackschool at industry events, conferences, and community gatherings.
  • Coordinate production and deployment of branded materials that support events and activations.

Partnerships & Affiliate Growth:

  • Identify and build partnership pipelines with influencers, content creators, affiliate marketers, and community organizations.
  • Design and manage ambassador and referral programs with incentive structures tied to performance.
  • Co-create campaigns with partners that drive traffic, signups, and revenue.
  • Own joint growth experiments: co-branded webinars, UGC contests, newsletter swaps, and gated content collaborations.

Analytics & Performance Reporting:

  • Own community health dashboards tracking engagement, retention, churn, NPS, and member growth.
  • Set up and manage growth dashboards in Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or equivalent BI tools.
  • Present weekly and monthly performance reviews with clear insights, community sentiment analysis, and next-step actions.
  • Track and report on KPIs, providing leadership with actionable data tied to revenue impact.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in community management, growth marketing, or a hybrid of both
  • Proven track record of building and scaling engaged communities with measurable business impact
  • Familiarity with growth frameworks such as AARRR, North Star Metrics, and Community-Led Growth
  • Hands-on with tools such as GA4, HubSpot, Mixpanel, Hotjar, Canva, or similar
  • Strong analytical mindset — able to build dashboards, interpret data, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication skills — warm, clear, and compelling across written and verbal formats
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and working in agile team environments

Preferred:

  • Experience in edtech, SaaS, or online learning communities
  • Familiarity with community platforms (Circle, Discord, Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp Communities)
  • Knowledge of email automation and CRM tools (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Customer.io)
  • Experience with referral, ambassador, or affiliate programs
  • Basic understanding of UX/UI principles or conversion optimization
  • Experience in edtech, SaaS, or online learning communities.

Pay
N100,000 - N150,000 + KPI OTE.
