  • A talent marketplace dedicated to offshoring skilled professionals from Nigeria to businesses in the West, primarily the UK and the US.
  • By connecting Nigerian talent with global opportunities, simplifying remote recruitment, and enabling Western companies to access cost-effective, high-quality expertise while empowering Nigerian professionals with international careers.
  • As the primary focus of this role, you will drive growth and expansion.
  • Additionally, you will provide oversight to the founder's portfolio of businesses.
  • This is a role for a high-performing professional to assume strategic leadership.
  • The Chief of Staff will serve as the founder's right-hand, driving strategic sales and measurable growth across the entire portfolio of businesses with a primary focus on accelerating offshoring initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Responsibilities are aligned with offshoring Nigerian talent to UK and US businesses. Clear deliverables are outlined below to ensure accountability and impact.
  • Strategic Support and Execution for the brand's Growth: Partner with the founder to develop and implement strategies for expanding the talent marketplace. Deliverables: Launch at least 2 new offshoring partnerships quarterly with UK/US companies; grow the Nigerian talent database by 25% annually through targeted recruitment drives.
  • Target Setting and Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor KPIs tailored to the offshoring model, including talent placements, client retention rates, and revenue from Western markets. Deliverables: Achieve 20% quarterly increase in active UK/US client engagements; produce monthly performance reports with actionable insights to hit annual targets
  • Sales and Business Development: Lead digital sales initiatives to attract UK and US businesses seeking offshore talent. Deliverables: Generate 20 qualified leads per month via digital channels (e.g., LinkedIn campaigns, webinars on offshoring benefits); close 10 new client contracts quarterly, focusing on sectors like tech, finance, and customer service. Cross-promote with portfolio businesses to enhance offshoring pipelines.
  • Commercial Strategy and Growth: Lead the B2B sales strategy to secure employer partnerships across priority African markets, leveraging the platform's cultural specificity and clinical credibility to drive measurable talent retention and ESG outcomes. Deliverables: Secure a minimum of 23 new employer partnerships across Q2-Q3 2026 in priority markets (Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana); design a C-Suite pitch deck that quantifies the ROI/cost of inaction (e.g., $1.2M–$2.4M annual cost exposure per 500 affected employees); convert a minimum of 40% of paid employer pilots into full annual partnerships.
  • Operational Oversight Across Portfolio: Ensure seamless operations, including talent vetting, matching, and compliance with UK/US. Provide high-level oversight. Deliverables: Streamline offshoring processes to reduce placement time by 15%; conduct bi-monthly audits across all businesses to identify synergies.
  • Proactive Leadership and Accountability: Anticipate challenges in the offshoring ecosystem and drive solutions. Push the founder and teams toward execution. Deliverables: Organise weekly accountability sessions resulting in 90% on-time completion of growth tasks; proactively propose 3–5 initiatives monthly to enhance marketplace features, like AI-driven talent matching.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build relationships with Nigerian talents, UK/US clients, and partners. Deliverables: Secure 5 strategic alliances annually (e.g., with UK/US industry associations)
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyse data on offshoring trends and marketplace performance. Deliverables: Deliver quarterly dashboards showing metrics like talent utilisation rates and client satisfaction scores; use insights to refine strategies for sustained growth.
  • Team Development: Mentor staff to support scaling. Deliverables: Train team members annually on best practices for offshoring; foster a proactive culture aligned with growth targets.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Executive Leadership & Strategic Acumen: Proven track record in a strategic leadership role, serving as a key partner to a Founder/CEO in driving measurable business growth.
  • Commercial & Sales Expertise: Demonstrated success in B2B sales, business development, and commercial strategy, preferably across global markets (African, UK, US).
  • Portfolio Oversight & Cross-Functional Delivery: Ability to oversee diverse business operations (Talent, HR, Events, Digital Platforms) and drive cross-functional projects.
  • Analytical Excellence: Exceptional ability to translate complex business data and market trends into actionable growth strategies.
