Position Overview
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operational and administrative functions.
The successful candidate will develop and implement operational strategies, improve business processes, ensure efficient project execution, optimize resource utilization, and align operations with the company’s long-term strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities, strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a proven track record in managing high-performing teams, preferably within the real estate, property development, or construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Operations:
Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s vision, mission, and growth objectives.
Oversee the company’s day-to-day operations to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
Collaborate with executive management to execute business strategies and drive sustainable organizational growth.
Ensure operational excellence across departments, including sales, administration, project execution, customer service, and finance.
Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
Project & Real Estate Operations Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of real estate projects and operational activities.
Monitor project timelines, operational standards, budgets, and quality assurance procedures.
Ensure seamless coordination between departments to support property development and service delivery goals.
Develop systems for effective property management, client servicing, and operational accountability.
Establish operational KPIs and performance standards across departments.
Monitor organizational performance and implement corrective strategies where required.
Lead and supervise departmental heads to ensure operational targets are met.
Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Financial & Resource Management:
Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting, cost control, and operational financial planning.
Optimize company resources to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Identify operational inefficiencies and implement cost-effective solutions.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, corporate governance standards, and company policies.
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Maintain high standards of business ethics, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strategic relationships with investors, contractors, consultants, regulators, vendors, and key stakeholders.
Represent the company in business meetings, strategic partnerships, and industry engagements where necessary.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Psychology, Real Estate Management, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, or a related field.
A Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline) is highly preferred.
5 - 8 years of progressive professional experience, with at least 3years in a senior leadership or executive management role, preferably within the real estate, construction, or property development sector.
Strong understanding of operational management, business strategy, and organizational leadership.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, scale operations, and drive measurable business growth.
Strong knowledge of project management, performance management systems, and operational frameworks.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
High level of professionalism, business acumen, and decision-making ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management systems, and business reporting tools.
